Natural stones like granite are a little tricky to clean since, unfortunately, you cannot use an all-purpose cleaner on them. It will damage the stone which is definitely something you do not want to do, right?

The countertops in my home are indeed made from natural granite which is why I have been searching for a DIY recipe for a cleaner over the past couple of months and finally, I found one that is worth trying!

The ingredients are all-natural which I am certain you can already find in your home – this is why I like this recipe so much! It’s easy, safe to use on granite, and will save you money.

Here are the ingredients you need!

Prepare yourself – you need four ingredients: rubbing alcohol, castile soap, water, and your favourite essential oil!

Doesn’t it sound great? All of those ingredients you have in your home, and even if you don’t – they are inexpensive and you can easily find them in the store!

You would also need a spray bottle! Now, mix all of the ingredients in the bottle – 1/4 cup of the rubbing alcohol, 2 cups of water, a tablespoon of the castile soap, and around 10 drops of any essential oil. You can also add more than one essential oil – I usually use lemon and orange (5 drops from each).

How to use? Spray directly on the granite, grab a microfiber cloth, and wipe the surface – and just like that, your countertops are spotless!
